AOI partners with China’s CETC International to localise advanced technology
The Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) has signed a manufacturing agreement with China’s CETC International to produce communications equipment, as part of efforts to localise advanced technology and deepen domestic manufacturing in Egypt’s electronics industry. The agreement was signed by Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Chairperson of AOI’s Electronics Factory, one of the organisation’s manufacturing subsidiaries. The partnership builds on AOI’s longstanding efforts to localise advanced technologies for both defence and civilian electronic industries, strengthening its position as a preferred partner for leading international companies seeking to invest and cooperate in Egypt. AOI Chairperson Mokhtar Abdel Latif said the cooperation with CETC International will focus on technology transfer, localisation and expanding local manufacturing capabilities in the electronics sector by leveraging the advanced production facilities of the Electronics Factory. He added that AOI aims to position its factories and affiliated companies as a platform for strengthening strategic partnerships and exchanging expertise with CETC International. The collaboration is intended to meet domestic demand while serving the needs of friendly and sister countries, supporting the production of both defence and civilian electronic products. Abdel Latif noted that the partnership will also help create new export opportunities by manufacturing products that meet international quality standards while remaining competitively priced. He said both sides have agreed to begin implementing the project according to a clear timetable, stressing the importance of close coordination to achieve greater industrial integration and expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest. For his part, Sun Ying Shen, Vice President of CETC International Group, expressed his appreciation for the partnership with AOI, describing it as an important step towards deepening local manufacturing and accelerating the localisation of advanced technologies. He said the cooperation would leverage AOI’s advanced manufacturing capabilities to strengthen domestic production, support technology transfer and contribute to the development of Egypt’s electronics industry.  The post AOI partners with China’s CETC International to localise advanced technology first appeared on Dailynewsegypt.
