MIC names new Dean of Arts

MARY Immaculate College (MIC) has announced the appointment of a new dean of its Faculty of Arts. Professor Jane Stadler was confirmed as the new Dean of Arts at MIC. She joins the college from the University of New England in Australia, where she served as Dean of Graduate Research. MIC said that Professor Stadler “brings more than two decades of academic leadership, teaching and research excellence in media and cultural studies, having held senior leadership roles across a number of leading Australian universities”. She previously held positions as Chair of Media and Communication at Swinburne University of Technology, Head of the Communications School at Queensland University of Technology, and Director of Research Higher Degrees at the University of Queensland. Professor Stadler’s work has been published extensively, including four authored books, over 50 peer-reviewed research papers, and numerous edited collections.
