Limerick man named president of Leinster Munster Connacht Seniors Alliance

A LIMERICK man has been elected for the first time as president of the Leinster Munster Connacht Seniors Alliance (LMC). James Joseph Ryan (JJ) from Lisnagry was recently elected 2026 President of the LMC. The LMC was founded in 1998 in Birr to bring more revenue to member clubs in the region and allow members the opportunity to enjoy playing golf at other clubs in the region. Initially founded with just three member clubs, that number has grown to 15, including Adare Manor Golf Club, where JJ is a long time club member. JJ, aged 81, says he keeps fit by playing golf four times weekly at Adare Manor and all the LMC regional clubs.
