Limerick photographer honoured at World Food Photography Awards

A LIMERICK photographer has been singled out for mention in this year’s World Food Photography Awards sponsored by Tenderstem. Limerick native Kirsty Lyons was Highly Commended in the Fortnum and Mason Food at the Table category for her photo of a creamy pint served alongside a generous plate of Irish oysters with shallot dressing at The Pumphouse in rural Wicklow. Kirsty’s image was selected from nearly 9,000 entries submitted from over 50 countries around the world. Irish photographer Al Higgins (Dublin) was awarded second place in the World of Drinks while Julia Dunin (Mayo) was Highly Commended in the Unearthed Food for Sale category.
