Accused killers of Dr. Naum Bonilla appear in Belmopan court

Twenty-six-year-old Hannah Rebekah Foreman, a laboratory scientist, and thirty-seven-year-old Edwin Albert Bethran Jr., an electrician, appeared in court where they were jointly arraigned on a charge of murder. Foreman was represented by attorney Dickie Bradley, while Bethran was represented by attorney Arthur Saldivar. The murder charge stems from the fatal shooting of Dr. Bonilla on May 29, a crime that shocked Belize and triggered widespread outrage across the country. Dr. Bonilla was widely respected in the medical community and among his patients. His death sparked candlelight vigils, public demonstrations and calls for swift justice from family members, friends and supporters.
