Minister Martinez and CABEI Executive President discuss opportunities for future collaboration
By Zoila Palma: Minister Osmond Martinez, Minister of State in the Ministry of Economic Transformation, and his delegation are participating in the 56th Annual Meeting of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in Nassau, Bahamas.
During the meeting, Minister Martinez met with Gisela Sanchez, Executive President of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI).
Discussions focused on ongoing CABEI-funded projects in Belize and opportunities for future collaboration. Sanchez also expressed her commitment to visiting Belize later this year, sharing that she holds a deep love for the country.
In addition, Minister Martinez and his delegation held a series of meetings with high-level delegates of various organizations and countries.
During the engagements, Minister Martinez also took the opportunity to share chocolate made in the Toledo District and to advocate for support for this emerging industry.
