An organisation named Suomen Mentorit ry has launched a project aimed at improving the employment prospects and integration of international higher education students in Finland, said the organisation in a press release.
The new nationwide initiative called “Future in Finland” will respond to the current concerns about talent shortages and recruitment challenges that are slowing down growth and development across various industries.
Implemented in collaboration with Sitra, the Finnish Immigration Service (Migri), YTK, and Technology Industries of Finland, the initiative offers students the opportunity to participate in one-on-one mentoring, build professional networks, and establish stronger connections with Finnish working life.
A total of 30 mentoring pairs will engage in discussions throughout the autumn on various work-life themes and attend events that share up-to-date information and experiences related to mentoring.
“International students are a significant talent resource whose potential is still partly untapped. Their expertise and global networks enrich the Finnish labor market and support our countrys innovation and competitiveness,” said Kaija Pohjala, Project Director at Suomen Mentorit in the press release.
The project will also gather concrete data on how mentoring can support and accelerate the process of settling in Finland. The goal is to create impactful and scalable models that help international talents integrate into Finnish society.
Due to the pilot nature of the project, the call for mentees is currently limited to students in technical fields. Technology Industries of Finland is exploring best practices and methods for employing technical professionals in Finland.
“Companies in the technology industry need the best talents from both Finland and abroad. We hope the mentoring program will help companies discover international talent and offer students opportunities to build their careers in Finland—so that more of them will stay and pursue their dreams here,” said Eero Hiidenvuori, Senior Specialist in Immigration and Talent at Technology Industries of Finland.
Septembra 2020 godine.
jednostavan izbor i brz pristup.
kategorijski uredimo i prezentujemo korinicima kroz „Novi Internet
Concept“.
Nismo zadovoljni onim što smo uradili. To nas pokreće da nastavimo sa
usavršavanjem projekta.
