Kroz očaravajuću igru snage i ranjivosti, digitalna naslovna priča Grazie "Mehanička lepota" postaje snažno istraživanje samoproučavanja i nekonvencionalne ženstvenosti.
Kako ste balansirali snagu i eleganciju u ovoj foto-seansi?
Kako biste opisali svoj lični stil kada niste pred kamerama?
Moj tipičan dan odmora počinje time što spavam do kasno.
Imate li druge kreativne strasti osim modelinga?
Smatram sebe veoma kreativnom osobom i ponosno se nazivam "majstorom svih zanata". Moja prva ljubav oduvek će biti likovna umetnost - slikam, crtam i izražavam se pomoću različitih medijuma poput uljane boje, ugljena i finelinera. Pišem poeziju, prozu i kratke priče i često se bavim neobičnim i novim kreativnim stvarima poput heklanja, dizajniranja nakita i digitalne umetnosti.

Through a captivating interplay of strength and vulnerability, Grazia Serbia’s digital cover story “Mechanical Beauty” emerges as a compelling exploration of self-discovery and unconventional femininity. Model Megan Pat reflects on the emotions she channeled during her evocative shoot with Ramzi Mansour and delves into her creative passions, the artistry of modeling, and her aspirations for the new year.
What spirits or emotions did you carry from the photoshoot with the photographer Ramzi Mansour? What was the energy like?
Going into the shoot, Ramzi and I had a clear understanding and vision of what we wanted to emulate. Emotion was the forerunner of this shoot, not trying to showcase the typical understanding of beauty and conventional femininity. This story is about a woman understanding her role in her own life, being run down in the dirt and muck of it all, but still coming back to herself. I had channeled my own inner struggles with life to showcase both the melancholy and immense strength we wanted to showcase, and in that, I had never felt so feminine and powerful. Not worrying about being “conventionally beautiful or feminine” allowed me to not hold back and focus on the importance of the story we wanted to tell. My femininity was brute, gentle, daring and soft all amalgamated into one.
What was the most memorable moment from the shoot?
The shoot as a whole was a memorable one, as the story told itself as the day went on along with the people that created it, but one moment that stood out to me was one of our last shots: the shot of me staring at my reflection into the mirror. Being presented only with yourself, having to almost hold yourself accountable with all your personal emotions and vulnerabilities, is what was an important moment to me in the shoot. I wasn’t posing or shooting for the sake of another photo shoot, I was emulating all that I was in that moment, and my vulnerability was accepted with open arms both by myself and by Ramzi.
How did you balance strength and elegance in this shoot?
Strength is an easy thing to showcase when you do not understand the full scope of the story you’re trying to tell. Strength did not lie in the brute or the masculine parts of this shoot, it lied with the amalgamation of both the feminine and masculine energies. Strength and elegance had to go hand in hand and could not be mutually exclusive to one another, they complimented each other on every shot, they had to.
Do you have a specific skincare routine?
I do have a ridiculously specific skincare routine. I have very sensitive skin and spent years researching what could heal my skin, so now I proudly use one very natural skincare brand and will religiously do my skincare no matter the occasion.
How would you describe your personal style when you’re off-camera?
I would describe my personal style as being a mix of elegant, classic, eclectic and eccentric. I love mixing styles and pairing pieces that would not typically go together. I can dress both masculine and feminine depending on how I feel on the day, and switch it up the next. Fashion is another way for me to creatively express myself.
What does a typical day off look like for you?
A typical day off would start off with me sleeping in. I’m very much a homebody and an old soul, so I start the day with a massive cup of coffee and get to work on my many hobbies waiting for me. I draw, paint, write and read, head off to the gym and do some yoga in between, then get up to some midnight shenanigans like baking cheesecake at 11pm. Being a night owl is a personal sport.
Are there any designers, photographers, or brands you dream of collaborating with?
Another one of my hobbies include researching thousands of brands and photographers in the industry. I have my favourite brands that I absolutely dream of working with, like Maison Margiela, Balenciaga, Miu Miu, and photographers I’ve heart-eyed since the beginning of my career like the extremely creative Haris Nukem, Elizaveta Porodina and Arthur Elgort.
Do you have other creative passions outside of modeling?
I consider myself a very creative person, and proudly call myself a jack of all trades. My first love will always be fine art - I paint, draw and express myself with a lot of mediums like oil paint, charcoal and fineliner. I write poetry, prose and short stories and often find myself picking up strange and new creative passions like crocheting, jewellery design and digital art.
What’s the most rewarding part of being a model?
The most rewarding part of being a model is being able to express yourself in ways not thought possible. Modelling isn’t just about showcasing a lifestyle or product, it is about emulating a character, a story, a life. Modelling is acting, it is theatre, it is storytelling. You cannot characterise modelling simply, and knowing that you as an individual can come together with likeminded souls to create a symbiosis of art is a beautiful thing.
What are some of your goals for 2025?
My goals for the next year would be to go full throttle with my career. I would love to see the world and all parts of it, meet even more people that I already have and collaborate with the most interesting and creative souls out there. I want to give more of my soul and my art to the world and show people that you can build a life of certainty, happiness and health in an industry that can be so mistakenly represented as being frivolous and unhealthy. I love my industry, and want to be able to infect people with my love and appreciation for it.
